Its real Castle. Founded in 1348A.D. Many times sigeded. First and also last sucesfull siege was in 1648. Due to low manpower inside and New Canons on the other side. How huge and massive are these walls usualy people discover when they come closer. ^^
I hope that That your Team Chris, will find a way how to play with these architect monsters.

Wow this game is really fantastic looking so far, keep it up.

I have a question for Chris, how did you get into game design and development? What made you want to make games and how did you go about starting your own development studio?

The short sequences of the game (from the last 3 bloggs) are looking pretty good.

The world, the unit’s movement, etc. …

    Keep up the good work…

You guys are doing a great job so far the game is looking beautiful. Im actually thinking of going into the game industry myself and being able to see how it actually works really puts a new perspective on it all. I absouletly love this Video Blog idea, i think its great for both you and us watching at home.

  • Baron

    Awesome barrels!

  • Dimlos

    Great job!
    I have some questions:
It seems that water got the same animation everywhere. Will this be improve? (it’s beautiful but you can make it better again!! :D )

Will you add “summoners” who can summon monsterrs by sacrifying themself, or they could summon very big monsters by doing a “group summoning” with more sommoners at the same time :) wait…this is very sad for these guys o_o.

Thank you for these videos, and sorry if I don’t speak english very well. :)

(OH, The new DLC for supreme commander 2 is nice, but… Monkey Lord from spcom 1 is TOO powerfull, too much. I don’t know if you knew that :D )

geez how are we already on blog #34? went by so fast…
Graphics are looking soooo much better! it looked pretty choppy in that presentation though? but i take it thats probably jsut due to it being a W.I.P

  • MNaydenov

2:44 what was that? The sound of it was really epic, lol.

I actually had a couple questions.

When I was looking at the landscape shot today, I began to wonder about villages. Will there be small villages in KaC, places where resources will be shipped to your main hub, once you ‘claim’ the village (You know, by clearing out creeps or something).

Question 2: Will there be volcanos? An atoll would look really cool, just saying.

I also wanted to say though that the island at 3:49 is wonderful.

Nice City of Heroes shirt on the ASCII guy :)

I’m seeing all this and am increasingly impressed. I just have a few thoughts.

    • Your third-party tool comes first to mind. Blizzard Entertainment group recently released Starcraft II with a map editor with features beyond believability, really. The problem with it is that large portions of it (especially the unit data editor) are so annoyingly complex it makes doing anything a huge pain in the rear. What can we expect in terms of simplicity vs. power in these tools?

    • Jeremy Soule is, perhaps, the god of game music. I was, unfortunately, less than fully impressed with the score for Supreme Commander. “Bellum Infinitus” and “Risk, Relief, and Victory” really stood out, but no other tracks for the score succeeded to do so. Soule has a great collection of amazing words. “Nerevar Rising” from Morrowind is utterly brilliant – even more so in its reprise and many of the tracks from Total Annihilation carried a story and brilliance. I love the natural-sounding instruments like the violin, the cello, the flute, the bagpipes (especially appropriate for K&C), the horns, and even the piano, not the techy-sounding instrumentation that plagues many video games today. What can we expect in terms of the feel to this score? Will it tell a story, or will it be mere ambience? What kind of influence to you have as game designer over the score?

    • I’m very well aware that the graphics for K&C at this point are in the early stages. Very, very early stages. Graphics, to me, are quite important, however (though intensely amazing gameplay does tend to lend some leniency). My point is this: I was not impressed with the graphics from SupCom 1 or 2. They felt too blocky, too unpolished – in fact, the missiles for nearly every unit basically amounted to a different coloured laser. Based on the model we’ve seen for the Cyclops, I’ve got my fingers crossed for some awesomesaucity. Are there plans to bring K&C into the forefront graphically so that it can reign on Starcraft II’s parade?

  • Alex

the maps looks very small, I hope there will be very big ones like in FA/SupCom and not like the ones in SupCom2.
And also I hope that the hole ocean/sea will be walkable for amphibious units (if there will be some) like in Fa/SupCom and NOT only the shores like in SupCom2.

  • PR

I’ve kept up with the blogs for a long time, and each week I ask myself – where are the crates, barrels, fences, hay carts, torches, wildlife, etc. etc. All I see is grass and trees :/

  • Soccer Game

Keep up the good work guys. I’ve been following this blog for so long.
